EnvSoL has compiled both national and international benchmarks for agricultural water quality, creating a
unified reference for Bangladesh’s farming sector. While many standards are already defined in Bangladesh’s
national regulations, several important parameters remain unaddressed. In those cases, internationally
recognized benchmarks were included to ensure a complete picture. These insights highlight where policy
attention is needed to establish or update national regulations—paving the way for more consistent and
sustainable water management in agriculture.
